WILLARD — Ellis Tuttle, age 87, of Willard, Ohio, passed away at his home on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born March 17, 1931 in Minnie, Kentucky to the late Henry and Daisy (King) Tuttle. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ellis was a plant supervisor for Sheller Globe, owned Main Street Gulf, and then later became owner and operator of Hunter's Haven, in Willard. He was an active member of the Willard United Baptist Church in Willard. Ellis enjoyed traveling, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Christine (Manacap) Tuttle; 2 daughters, Sandy (Bob) Kennard of Attica, Teresa (Jeff) Stoller of Willard; 4 grandchildren, April Horne (Jim), Zachary Stoller, Kurt Echelberry, Lauren Stoller; 2 great grandchildren, Austin and Luke Horne.
Ellis was preceded in death by his first wife, Isabel (Daniels) Tuttle; his parents; 6 brothers, Buck, Carl, Burton, Orville, Wayne, and Holly Tuttle; and a sister, Artie May Tuttle.
Friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Willard United Baptist Church in Willard with Rev. Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
