He was born on June 21, 1968 to James McGee and Jeanette Kilgore. He was a 1987 graduate of Norwalk High School and EHOVE. He was an owner/operator of Kilgore Trucking. Most everyone in the community recognized him in the big yellow semi on State St. If he wasn’t in his truck, you could find him searching for parts online or bouncing between local shops and junkyards. He had two passions in life, trucking and cooking. Although he didn’t mind how many people showed up, he always cooked enough for a small army.
On May 18, 2014, after 17 years of being together, he married the woman he called “girlfriend.” Tim is survived by his wife, Karra Kilgore; children, Tim “TJ” (Kristen) Kilgore, Kristen Burroughs, Jason (Melissa) Brown, and Katie Hubley; grandchildren, Jacob, Jarrett, Corralyne, Harrison, Jenna, Saphyre, Zander, Melody, Eleanor, Mason, Jerrica, and Jenna; mother, Jeanette Kilgore; siblings, Janet “Robbin” (Ken) Harvey, Art (Sue) McGee, and Joey Bohland; and nieces and nephews, Johnnie (his children, Ashley, Shelby, Elizabeth), James, Brett, Holly, Eric, and Art.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McGee; and brothers, James and Jeffery McGee.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 15 from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life begins at 12 p.m. in Victory Temple, 1619 W. Strub Rd., Sandusky. Pastor Luke Walters will officiate.
Even with diabetes and complications from his quintuple bypass surgery, Tim’s wish to become an organ donor came true. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or to Community Tissue Services 2736 N Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo, OH 43615.
