Band director Chris Clark was ecstatic with the effort placed forth by his students.
“I am really proud of where this band has come,” he said. “We have a lot of young students, but I feel that our upperclassmen have really helped out this year.”
The St. Paul band is made up of 75 students and competes as a concert band and marching band throughout the school year.
After the competition, students were treated to a day at Cedar Point, which concluded with an award ceremony in the historic Cedar Point ballroom where the students received their first-place trophy.
