Jazz duet promises to take you back in time

SANDUSKY — Anecdote Productions, the company which produced “I Believe: A Holiday Celebration of Song” last year, is now selling tickets for its next show: “A Trip Through Time.”

The event will be a jazz duet featuring Marlee Carpenter and Nick Traverso. It will take place in the State Room of the Sandusky State Theatre on Saturday, April 8, with drinks at 7:30 p.m. and the show at 8.

Tickets cost $16 by calling 419-515-7512 or visiting anecdoteproductions.co/events. According to the man who started Anecdote, Nathan Maslyk, sponsorship tables with perks are available at higher prices.

“Join us for a one-night-only performance of Marlee Carpenter and Nick Traverso singing a mix of classic and contemporary jazz tunes. Take a trip to the 1930’s all the way through the 21st century through a dynamic jazz repertoire that transports you through the decades,” according to the event webpage. “This one-night only engagement will not be one to miss.”

Musical selections to be performed include “You’re the Top,” “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and “Valerie.”

The performance is anticipated to end at 9 p.m.
