U.S. 20, between Butler and Hanford roads in Huron County, is closed due to down power lines because of the wind.

There is no time estimate available as to when the road will reopen, according to Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) officials.

In Erie County, Poorman Road at Darrow Road in Vermilion Township is closed due to a large tree down as well as power lines.

(ORIGINAL post)

Townsend Avenue in Norwalk is closed as Ohio Edison crews work on a downed power line.

Workers arrived at the scene just before 1 p.m. It is unknown how long work will take and with the high wind advisory in effect it probably won’t be the last downed wire today.

High winds are expected until Monday morning.
