WAKEMAN — One man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident that happened early Saturday morning in Wakeman Township.

Tracy Revercomb, 48, of Wakeman, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer Sports Trac west on West River Road at 12:10 a.m. when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and hit a pole, said troopers with the Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol.

Revercomb, was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the passenger’s side window, causing incapacitating injuries, troopers said.

He was flown by a LifeFlight helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, troopers said, adding that no charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.

Assisting on the scene were Citizens Ambulance Service, Metro LifeFlight, Wakeman Fire Dept., the Huron County Sheriff’s Office and Norb’s Towing.
