Fourth of July parade winners announced

Here are the list of winners from the Norwalk Lions’ Club’s annual Fourth of July parade:

Commercial float: District Tire (first) and Palm Tree Barn (second)

Civic float: Daughters of the American Revolution (first) and Huron County Master Gardners

Marching unit (including color guards; excludes school bands): Baton Academy Twirlers of Norwalk (first) and Norwalk American Legion (second)

Antique automobile: Jim Grover (first) and Phil Patterson (second)

Most unusual entry: Norwalk Music Festival (first) and Olde Wrestling (second)

Horse unit: Stampede of Dreams (first) and Clear View Stables (second)

Drill team unit: Norwalk High School (first) and Norwalk Middle School (second)

Clown: Neil Hansberger (first) and Laney the Clown (second)

Fire company: Northern Ohio FOOLS (first) and Huron River Joint Fire District (second)

Best newspaper van unit: Norwalk Reflector (first). There was no second entry.

Best church float: Norwalk Baptist Church (first) and Bible Walk (second)

Best truck unit: Huron County Engineer’s Office (first) and ODOT (second)

Best business float: Gaymont Nursing Home (first) and Piney Paradise (second)

Best youth float: Lefty Grove (first) and Evan Strong (second)
