The first thing my sports-minded daughter said to me was these people are trying to make a Jerry Sandusky situation and hang that on Jordan.
Jordan was not the head coach, he was an early 20-something assistant. Things were also different at that time (I was living at that time) people were more innocent to the evil that lurks in the heart of some men and women.
Too many times the people yelling about wrong doing are actually the wrong doers.
Here, as a mother and now a grandmother is what bothers me, is that on Friday; July 6 you printed a story with headlines: Nationwide manhunt under way for three accused of kidnapping, raping teens.
This article was inside on page 4-A. The victims were 13 and 14 year old girls. The police had fortunately caught one of them.
This happened just up the road from us, at Bowling Green.
These evil doers were running loose and you community-minded newspaper people choose to put this inside on page A-4?
On top of this, I have not seen any follow up on this tragedy. Yet you people hone in on something 20 years ago that Jordan was not the perpetrator of.
I think its more important to be warned (front page news) about what could happen now.
