The trial, originally scheduled to begin Thursday is rescheduled for Dec. 12 after the prosecution on Tuesday filed a motion for continuance, according to a story in the Sandusky Register.
Durst faces charges of rape and importuning stemming from an alleged sex offense on July 20 in the West Clarksfield area.
The court declared Durst indigent Aug. 18, meaning he could not afford a private attorney and he will thus be represented by a Huron County public defender, according to a court docket.
Durst’s next trial date will be in Sandusky County Nov. 14. Law enforcement charged him with rape after a 2015 allegation of a sex assault in Bellevue.
