COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against an Ohio man after a traffic stop in Richland County.

During the traffic stop, troopers seized 469 Oxycodone pills worth approximately $7,500.

At about 10:37 p.m. July 18, troopers stopped a 2011 Mercedes C300 for speed and failure to display violations on Ohio 13. Criminal indicators were observed and a patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable-cause search revealed marijuana debris and the contraband.

The driver, Romulus Tabor, 45, of Mansfield, was arrested and taken to the Richland County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in drugs, both second-degree felonies.

If convicted, he could face up to 16 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine.
