The crash at the intersection of Ohio 18 and Ohio 601/Greenwich Milan Townline Road involved a black Chevrolet Camaro and red Lincoln Navigator. Details weren’t available from troopers at press time. However, authorities at the scene said the injuries to occupants didn’t appear to be life-threatening and some of the younger passengers had bumps and scratches.
North Central EMS left the scene with one patient at 3:38 p.m. with the lights and sirens activated on the ambulance.
The Camaro ended up facing eastbound on Ohio 18 in the grass very close to the Summit Raceway Park fence at the intersection. The black car had a crumpled rear compartment. Its windshield was missing and the rear passenger-side tire was out of alignment.
The Navigator was at northwestern angle also near the fence. The sport utility vehicle had a heavily damaged front grill. The fender and both headlights were missing.
Several agencies assisted troopers at the scene. The Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Norwalk Fire Department, Townsend Township Volunteer Fire Department and North Central EMS responded to the crash site
