A Springfield man and woman both face charges after a woman allegedly set her husband’s clothes on fire in the backyard after Snapchat posts.

Renee Arnold, 26, was charged with arson and is expected to appear in Clark County Municipal Court today. Bryan L. Arnold, 28, also has been charged with domestic violence and is expected in court today.

The Springfield Police Division responded to the 1500 block of Lexington Avenue about 3 a.m. Saturday after dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hang-up call, according to a police report.

Renee Arnold told police she recently received Snapchats from another woman saying he allegedly was cheating so she decided to burn his belongings, she reportedly told police. Bryan Arnold then allegedly attacked her, according to a police report, throwing her down the stairs and then hitting her in the head.

The pile of burning clothes had been set on fire next to a wooden deck, which also started to burn, police said. Vinyl siding was also starting to melt.
