Strike employee reported trespassing in delivery vehicle

A Maple City Ice strike employee faces possible trespassing charges for retrieving personal items from a delivery vehicle.

The Norwalk Police Department responded to Dublo’s Carry-Out on Monday evening after a trespassing complaint was reported. 

According to police reports, the Maple City Ice owner reported a delivery vehicle was entered while stopped outside the business.

Following a brief investigation, officers determined the vehicle had been entered by an employee on strike with the company.

Officers said the strike employee entered the vehicle to retrieve personal items with the permission of the current driver.

The matter was referred to the law director for charges. More information on the matter was unavailable at press time.

The strike began Sept. 1.
