A local resident is charged with several cases of counterfeiting.

A female reported being given $120 worth of counterfeit $20 bills in exchange for a PlayStation 3 on Wednesday night. The transaction took place in Miller’s parking lot after being set up online through the website Letgo.com.

Upon investigation, Marc A. Sater, 21, of Norwalk, was identified as the suspect.

Officers said Sater reportedly has been involved in at least two other cases where counterfeit money was passed.

The PlayStation 3, as well as the other stolen items, were recovered during the investigation, police added.

Sater was transported to the Huron County Jail and faces two felony charges of forgery.
