Norwalk Airport closed to public
The Norwalk Airport on Milan Road has been closed to the public and henceforth only those who gain written permission in advance prior to their use of the runway will be allowed to use the facilities.
A four-man board under the name of Airport Development Company Managing Committee will give the sole right to use the field. The board is composed of Paul Miller, Eugene Boes, William Wilkinson and Frank Hiltz.
The airport was closed to public use for two reasons. The first was the condition of the runway and the second, lack of funds. The field is now X’ed, there making it illegal to land.
Jim Francisco, who ran the airport for the last few years, has terminated his commitments.
