Blame vandals for truck bomb here

If authorities can locate certain men who rode out 20 last night in a Hudson car, they may find out who caused a violent explosion in a motor truck parked at the Locus Grove Filling station two miles west of here at 9 p.m. A car of that make passed the truck several times between Cleveland and the scene of the explosion.

The blast jarred Norwalk and was heard at leas four miles away. No one was injured. Two window panes of the filling station were broken by the explosion.

Don Richmond of Minneapolis, owner of the truck, stated that while he had not been threatened or approached by Cleveland strikers, he asserted that CLeveland truck men on a strike have declared that Cleveland union men only should be engaged to drive trucks out of that city.

 

Olin Schneider is reported on way to recovery

Olin Schneider, 14-year-old son of Ed Schneider, Monroeville boy, run over by a motor truck last Saturday at Monroeville, continues to show improvement in Memorial Hospital. A rear wheel of the truck passed over the boy’s chest. At the time of the acccident, it was beleived he had been fatally hurt.

 

Arrest devleops from agreement regarding horse

Charles Hoyt of Norwalk has been arrested on the charge of illegally selling a horse and harness to L.J. McNiel fo Norwalk. The prosecuting witness, stated that under an agreement of Aprill 2, Hoyt was to have the use of the horse and harness only. Action was started in common pleas court. Hoyt has been released on bond.

 

Willard High will graduate class of 63 seniors June 6

The 63 members of the graduating class of Wilalrd High School are looking forward to the commencement, which is to take place Thursday, June 6.
