Old State Road work had July 5 completion date

By JOE CENTERS • Jun 20, 2018 at 12:00 PM

Good news, kind of, for residents who live on Old State Road in Norwalk.

Norwalk Public Works Director Josh Snyder said the road project is progressing, however, the completion date of July 5 still is two weeks away.

“By all indications we will meet that,” Snyder said at Tuesday’s city council meeting.

He said the curbs are in and what remains is the roadwork.

Snyder also said work has been completed on Eastwood Drive, North Street, Parsons Street and Milan Avenue, with just some finish work being done on Milan.

In other business, councilwoman Deb Lucal gave a “friendly reminder” to those who do not cut their grass.

Council met in executive business following the meeting but no action was taken.

Council meets again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
