Huron County Treasurer Kathleen Schaffer has scheduled the off-site tax collection schedule for Huron County residents:

• Monday, July 1  — 9:30 a.m. to noon, Wakeman village offices.

• Tuesday, July 3 — 9 a.m. to noon, New London village offices.

• Thursday, July 5 — 9 a.m. to noon, Willard Senior Enrichment Center.

Pay with a check or money order; no debit/credit cards or cash will be accepted.

Schaffer requested checks be written with a blue or black pen. The office scans and electronically deposits all checks and the scanner does not pick up reds, pinks and greens.

The tax bill must be presented at the time of payment or payment will not be accepted.

The drive-thru, located behind the Huron County Offices Building in Norwalk will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9 through July 13. The only type of payment accepted at the drive-thru are checks or money orders.

There also is a secure night drop box located inside the front door of the treasurer’s office, to the right.

The treasurer’s office is located at 16 E. Main St. in Norwalk.

First-half property taxes are due by 4:30 p.m. July 13.
