LEXINGTON — A total of 17 area Huron County football players and recent graduates are scheduled to compete in Friday’s North Central Ohio Football Coaches Association All-Star Game.

It’s the 34th annual edition of the game, which will feature players from Norwalk, New London, Plymouth, South Central, St. Paul, Western Reserve and Willard. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Lexington High School.

All area players will be on the North team, coached by Shelby head coach Rob Mahaney — who was just hired to coach the Whippets after several years at Mapleton.

The Norwalk trio of Tche Leroux, Kaden Livingston and Trevon Raymore will represent the Truckers — just like they did in April at the North-South All-Star Classic in Massillon.

Raymore set Norwalk program records last season for rushing attempts, yards and touchdowns in a single game — and is the all-time leader in career rush attempts at Norwalk. His 2,518-yard, 27-touchdown season was good for the All-Ohio second team, and is second only to Breck Turner in the program record book.

Leroux had 95 tackles and 16 sacks to go with three fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown, while Livingston — the program record holder in blocked kicks — caught 32 passes for 605 yards and 4 TDs.

St. Paul will be represented by Noah Good, Davis Hedrick and Gavin Starcher.

Good ran for 1,045 yards and 14 TDs for the Flyers, while also adding 101 tackles and two interceptions at linebacker.

A two-way All-Firelands Conference first team selection on the offensive and defensive lines, Hedrick had 47 tackles and one sack on defense. Starcher caught 27 passes for 535 yards and 3 TDs, and also added 50 tackles, eight pass breakups and two interceptions.

Also competing from the area is the Willard trio of Brevon Polachek, Jerett Sowers and Davon Triplett. Polachek caught 35 passes for 614 yards and 10 TDs, while Sowers ran for 594 yards and 10 TDs, and added 56 tackles on defense.

Plymouth running back/linebacker Kade Collins, lineman Avery Horne and kicker Austin Roblin are scheduled to represent the Big Red. Collins ran for 1,731 yards and 21 TDs last season, and also added 86 tackles and three interceptions on defense.

Also from the FC, the South Central trio of Tycen Cooper, Cristiano Murphy and Wyatt Caudill.

Murphy caught 45 passes for 662 yards and 6 TDs and totaled 1,027 all-purpose yards for the Trojans, while Caudill added 131 tackles and two interceptions. The trio helped South Central to the most wins in a season since 1981.

New London’s Kevin Fridenstine and Western Reserve’s Jacob Martz are also scheduled to compete. Martz ran for 1,086 yards and 14 TDs for the Roughriders.

Pre-sale tickets are still available for $8 and t-shirts are available for $15 at Blackstone Insurance by calling 419-884-0095. (Ask for Andrea). Tickets at the gate will cost $10.
