Norwalk resident curses at firefighters, police officer

• Updated Jan 29, 2018 at 11:17 PM

Norwalk firefighters requested police assistance at a Norwalk apartment complex Sunday night.

At 11:54 p.m., firefighters went to 112 Concord Court in response to an open burning complaint, according to a Norwalk Fire Department report.

The tenant became irate and began cursing at the firefighters, the report stated.

Firefighters then contacted the Norwalk Police Department, asking for an officer to come to the scene.

The tenant then cursed at the police officer as well.

The tenant refused to identify himself, shut the door to the apartment and would not answer the door again, the report said.

Firefighters returned to the station at 12:16 a.m.

A Norwalk police report confirms there was assistance provided for the “open burn” complaint but does not indicate any other action was taken.
