Catholic students celebrate 'deeply-rooted' legacy

By MATT FAIR • Jan 29, 2018 at 5:00 PM

Jan. 29 through Feb. 2 marks Catholic Schools Week. At St. Paul High School and Norwalk Catholic School the week will be celebrated with the theme of “Deeply Rooted in Our Legacy.”

In celebration of 25 years of the Friends for the Future campaign, there will be a week-long drive to bring in birthday party supplies. These items will be given to the Salvation Army, Miriam House and Norwalk Food Bank to make sure those who want to celebrate their birthday can do so with cake and party favors.

On Monday the theme was “Rooted in the Legacy of our Community.” Students in the high and junior high schools went on a prayer pilgrimage to Catholic Charities, the new fire station, which is under construction, and many others places around the community.

Elementary-school students thanked the safety forces by delivering a thank-you banner made by Norwalk Catholic School Early Childhood Center students and cookies.
