The festival is full of fun activities and delicious food. To celebrate the holiday, the pool will be hosting a freedom swim with free admission from 5 to 7 p.m.
The main shows featured at the showmobile this year are The Almost Amazing Rex and Dana (Wednesday and Thursday at 6, 8, 10 p.m.) and Olde Wrestling (Friday & Saturday at 7, 9 p.m.), which are free to enjoy.
Also, at the showmobile, great musicians will take the stage including: Kicked to the Curb (Wednesday 8:30 to 11 p.m.), Semer Brothers (Thursday 7 to 10 p.m.), Tongue n’ Groove (Friday 8 to 11:30 p.m.) and 99 to Main (Saturday 8 to 11:30 p.m.).
Thursday is denoted Kid’s Day and will have a Sillie Tille balloon artist, special characters on the midway and Jungle Island Zoo.
Throughout the festival, Big O’s Amusement Rides will open at 5 p.m. to provide a whirlwind of excitement. Friendly competition also will be underway with a mud soccer tournament, kickball tournament and a three-point contest.
The fireworks sponsored by Mercy Health-Willard Hospital and LSC Communications will be held at 10:30 p.m. Friday. The parade is on the last day, Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. Everyone is sure to find something they enjoy at the 32nd annual Festival in the Park.
