City: Don't set up for parade more than 24 hours beforehand

• Jun 29, 2018 at 3:34 PM

The city of Norwalk is prohibiting residents from putting out chairs and/or blankets more than 24 hours before the Fourth of July parade.

The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Lt. Col. Dave Ditz, of the U.S. Army National Guard, is the grand marshal of the 48th annual Norwalk Lions Club Forth of July parade. Ditz also is a member of the Norwalk Police Department.

While the residents own the tree lawn (the grass between the sidewalk and street), Norwalk officials said there is an easement agreement with the city.
