EHOVE board of education approves various personnel moves

AVERY — The EHOVE Career Center board of education met in regular session July 11.

At this meeting, the board accepted the resignation of intervention specialist Sean Heath, effective the end of the 2017-2018 school year. 

In other personnel action, the board:

• Employed Deanna Johnson, of Berlin Heights, as part-time security officer effective Sept. 1 to May 23, 2019. 

• Approved the contract revision for Joey Butcher, adult education surgical tech instructor, from a 184-day contract to a 220-day contract for July 1 to June 30, 2019.

• Approved the benefit summary addendums for Tim Coffman, David Jenkins and Superintendent Sharon Mastroianni.

The board approved an annual $1,000 pledge to Erie County Economic Development Corp. for a three-year period (2018-2020) for a total of $3,000 and approved the contract for police services with Erie County Sheriff’s Office for a school resource officer for the 2018-2019 school year.

The board established an EHOVE Chapter of Drug Free Clubs of America and a Gallery of Believers Scholarship Program.

The board accepted the June financial report as presented and accepted cash donations for the period of April 1 to June 30 and approved the provided community reinvestment area compensation agreement.

The next meeting will take place at 10 a.m. on Aug. 8.
