VERMILION — The staff of the Norwalk Catholic School Early Childhood Center (ECC), for children in preschool and kindergarten, recently attended a “Teach With Your Strengths” retreat lead by NCS parent Andrea Hayse, trainer for the Harley Davidson Corp. and certified Gallup trainer.

Developed by Gallup, the goal of the retreat was to discover what great teachers do differently and what separates top teachers from all the rest. The ECC staff learned how to make the most of their natural talents which will allow them to better inspire their students.

The retreat was held at Sunnyside Farm in Vermillion. Sunnyside is owned by NCS parents Mike Gocsik and Rebecca Ware and is their family homestead. They host and specialize in unique equine-assisted retreat experiences for individuals and small groups that inspire people on their leadership journey.

“Beautiful space, beautiful horses and an even more beautiful team for a staff retreat experience. Thank you for welcoming us, inspiring us, and challenging us to grow,” ECC Director Angie Smith said.
