All past students, faculty, staff and those affiliated with NPS are encouraged to attend the event, which now is in its 12th year.
The spotlight this year will be on Pleasant Elementary and the eight class years. Reunions for classes of 1958 and 1968 also will be held that weekend.
For future sustainability, the hosting Alumni Association (NPSAA) has announced the creation of a new sponsorship program.
Contributions will provide for publication of the alumni newsletter, “Truckline,” improved preservation of archive materials and refreshments at the reunion.
Sponsorship levels include two “alumni” slots at $1,000; four “senior” slots at $500; six “junior” slots at $250; unlimited “soph” slots from $50 to $100 and unlimited “frosh” slots starting at $10. These broad levels fit anyone interested in donating, whether an individual, family or business. In addition, in-kind donations are being accepted for inclusion in raffle prize packages, and the 50/50 raffle is being revived on the day of the event.
A commitment form will be available on the alumni page of the Norwalk City Schools website at: http://www.norwalktruckers.net/Alumni.aspx.
All donations will be used for reunion activity, promotion and communications to alumni. The NPSAA Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers. Anyone wishing to join the association or volunteer alongside members on the day of the reunion are welcome. Contact the association via email at [email protected] for more information.
NPSAA organizers say they greatly appreciated inaugural contributions from Battles Insurance, Norwalk Concrete Industries Employees and Fair Publishing.
