Berlin Heights Kiwanis honors Edison senior Lombardi

BERLIN HEIGHTS — The Berlin Heights Kiwanis has named Edison High School senior Nicholas Lombardi the March student of the month.

Lombardi has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.

His school and community activities: National Honor Society; French Honor Society; French Club; Math Club; Spanish Club; Ski Club; Art Club; Health Professionals To Be; Interact Club treasurer; Key Club; Big Brothers Big Sisters; Edison peer tutor program; EHS writing lab editor; McWane Scholarship committee; soccer (second-team All-Ohio midfielder, Sandusky Bay Conference Player of the Year, first-team All-SBC, first-team all-district, second-team All-SBC); Soccer records — most career goals (47), most goals in a season (26), most goals in a game (6), captain, EHS Most Outstanding Forward, EHS Most Outstanding Midfielder, SBC champions 2017; Tennis second-team All-SBC; basketball; football; three-sport award recipient; band; stage band; pep band; band council; homecoming king; honor roll; Edison Youth Soccer League referee; personal tutor; youth group member; COSI volunteer and car mechanic assistant.

Lombardi said he plans to attend The University of Toledo, majoring in engineering with a minor or double-minor in business to equip himself with the ability to work his way into higher positions or to own his own business.

His career goal is to become a mechanical engineer and work in the auto industry. Working at a prestigious car company like Ford, Chrysler or BMW is his ultimate ambition.

Lombardi is the son of Tony and Amy Lombardi, of Milan.
