Huron County grand jury indicts 17

A Huron County grand jury has indicted 17 suspects on various felonies, ranging from tampering with evidence to felonious assault and possession of cocaine.

The Norwalk Police Department investigated separate felonious assault cases.

Christopher R. Graves, 34, of 16 Corwin St., was indicted Friday on one count each of felonious assault, disrupting public services and domestic violence, all in connection with a Feb. 21 incident.

In another case, Joyce M. White, 49, of 55 Vinewood Drive, was indicted Friday on domestic violence and felonious assault, both in connection with an April 7 incident.

The other defendants and their charges are:

• Lori A. Atkins, 43, of 314 Crestwood Drive, Apt. 101, Willard, on one count each of possession of a fentanyl-related compound and tampering with evidence, both in connection with a March 30 incident. If convicted, she could be required to forfeit $124 to the state.

• James D. Brant, 63, of 11 Sycamore Drive, Apt. 1, on permitting drug abuse in connection with a Dec. 17 incident and trafficking in heroin stemming from a Dec. 11 controlled drug buy.

• Natasha R. Crawford, 31, of 326 W. Laurel Drive, Willard, on one count each of operating a vehicle with a hidden compartment used to transport a controlled substance, aggravated possession of methamphetamine and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, all in connection with an April 1 incident. If convicted, she could be required to forfeit a cell phone and 2015 Chevrolet Impala to the state.

• Trenton J. Franks, 25, of Sylva, N.C., on three counts of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, all in connection with a loaded weapon-related incident May 10.

• Sheila A. Hall, 48, of Cleveland, on tampering with evidence and two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, all in connection with a Feb. 3 incident.

• Stacey M. Hernandez, 41, of 110 Washington St., Willard, on possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, both in connection with an April 7 incident. If convicted, she could be required to forfeit a cell phone to the state.

• Monte C. Hibbard, 47, of 12404 Arlington Road, Berlin Heights, on one count each of aggravated possession of meth, aggravated possession of acetyl fentanyl and possessing drug abuse instruments, all in connection with an Aug. 3 incident. If convicted, he could be required to forfeit $82 to the state.

• Tyler J. Honaker, 27, of 3156 Sylvia Court, Willard, on one count each of operating a vehicle with a hidden compartment used to transport a controlled substance, aggravated possession of meth and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, all in connection with an April 1 incident.

• Eugene Large Jr., 49, of 5144 U.S. 250, Lot 99, on tampering with evidence and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both in connection with a March 30 incident. 

• Felina E. Lewis, 59, of 23 Newton St., Apt. 4A-4, on trafficking in heroin and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, both in connection with a Dec. 17 controlled drug buy. 

• Jay J. Price, 36, of 397 Plymouth St., Plymouth, on one count each of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, all in connection with an April 7 incident. If convicted, he could be required to forfeit a cell phone and digital scale to the state.

• Denise A. Pugh, 58, of 4265 S. Ohio 61, Lot 30, Plymouth, on receiving stolen property in connection with a Feb. 27 incident.

• Lawrence Straub, 80, of 41 Monroe St., Apt. 41-C, Monroeville, on three counts of complicity in the commission of an offense, all in connection with a Feb. 5 incident. If convicted, he could be required to forfeit six cell phones and digital scale to the state. According to his indictment, Straub is accused of aiding and abetting in the aggravated possession of meth.

• Heather A. Sutter, 21, of Lucas, on tampering with evidence and possessing drug abuse instruments, both in connection with an April 23 incident. She also was charged with forgery stemming from a Dec. 27 incident.

• Olivia A. Wimer, 23, of 228 Kilbourne St., Bellevue, on one count each of possession of cocaine, possession of a fentanyl-related compound and tampering with evidence, all in connection with an April 26 incident.
