Convicted forger to perform community service

An area man must pay $776 in restitution for a local forgery case.

DaOndre T. Jackson, 23, of Cleveland, also must perform 40 hours of community service during his two years of probation.

In other hearings in Huron County Common Pleas Court, it was determined two men violated the conditions of their community control sanctions.

• Charles E. Dixon, 25, most recently of 1920 Murray Road, New London, was sentenced Wednesday to a 60-day discretionary jail sentence, which is part of intensive probation, for an undisclosed violation. His probation officer has the discretion of when to have him serve part or all of the jail term without a hearing. Dixon’s underlying conviction is burglary.

• Seth M. Hay, 24, of Tiffin, was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days in jail for an undisclosed probation violation. He will be terminated from community control upon his release. Hay has been on probation for breaking and entering since mid-July 2016.
