Wellington Music of Norwalk to hold grand opening, ribbon cutting Friday

• May 31, 2018 at 11:39 AM

The Huron County Chamber of Commerce will welcome Wellington Music of Norwalk, 24 W. Main St., with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday.

Live music begins at 6 p.m. and will be provided by Jeff-n-Neff. Greg Dempsey, from Music & Arts, will hold an in-store clinic on “band instrument care 101,” so children are welcome and encouraged to join and learn how to take proper care of their instruments.

The doors to Far Around Recording Studio will be open to the public, giving a rare glimpse into the creative workspace. The music instructors will also be present for a meet-and-greet for those interested in signing up for lessons.

Wellington Music owner Steve Neff opened the Wellington location in 2011 and quickly become an important facet in that community. Seeing the thriving arts and music scene in Norwalk, he partnered with Noah Heyman of Far Around Recording Studio to bring Wellington Music to 24 W. Main St.
