HURON TWP. — Local businesses have the chance to hear an industry insider’s expertise on how to hit the mark with their online advertisements.

To help businesses use their online marketing effectively, the Tandem Media Network is hosting the Target Your Ideal Audience Seminar Tuesday at Kalahari with featured speaker David McBee.

McBee the training director specializing in targeted display. He also works as a internet marketing speaker, educator and consultant.

As one of Google’s first Certified AdWords Trainers, he has experience in search engine optimization, paid search, social media and display advertising.

He first realized the importance of online advertising as an employee at Yellow Pages where he became an early adopter of marketing technology. He believes the importance of online marketing has only increased over the years.

“Basically, in today’s day and age people are addicted to the internet. They are spending somewhere in the range of six hours a day online,” McBee said. “Business owners can’t ignore this channel and they can’t just focus on google and social media for their advertisements.”

He’s been sharing his knowledge with thousands of businesses owners each year since 2003. His presentation at Kalahari will focus on how to use the latest marketing technology, including targeted display and geo-fencing, to find the right consumer for advertisements.

“Targeted display places relevant ads in front of the right audience based on their internet history,” McBee said. “And geo-fencing, which is great, allows us to advertise to someone based on their specific location.”

The free seminar includes lunch and a prize raffle with the possibility of winning advertising packages and more. To reserve a seat for the seminar call 419-502-2121.
