Ron Jones has resigned as president and chief operating officer at New Horizons Baking Company.

The company and Jones made the announcement in a joint statement issued Monday.

Jones is leaving New Horizons “in order to pursue other career goals and interests,” the statement said.

“During his tenure with New Horizons, Ron Jones has been instrumental in driving the growth of New Horizons by identifying new customers and applications as well as directing the expansion of our baking facilities to meet the increased demand of both existing and new customers for our products,” said Chief Executive Officer Tilmon F. Brown. “On behalf of the board of directors and our employees, we thank Ron for his leadership and wish him well.”

Ron Jones began his career with New Horizons five years ago.

“During my association with New Horizons I had the privilege of working with Tilmon Brown and other talented individuals at New Horizons as well as our customers. I want to thank Tilmon Brown and the employees for their support and hard work over the years”, Jones said.

New Horizons has been manufacturing soft sandwich buns and English muffins for major quick service restaurant and food industry customers since 1967.

New Horizons is committed to the production of an assured supply of low cost, high quality, and best value baked goods for all customers, the company stated in its press release.
