In Division II, Bellevue, Norwalk and Willard could each be on a familiar collision course in the Galion district.
Bellevue (18-1) — ranked No. 3 in the latest Associated Press poll — is the top seed and took a first-round bye at the Monroeville site. The Lady Red will await the Vermilion-Mansfield Senior winner in a 6 p.m. Feb. 24 sectional championship game at the Monroeville Athletic Complex.
Norwalk (14-3) was the No. 2 seed and also has a first-round bye at the Bucyrus site. The Truckers will face the Columbian-Mansfield Madison winner, also at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24.
Willard (13-5) was the No. 4 seed in the district, and will face rival Shelby (7-10) in a sectional semifinal at 8 p.m. on Feb. 20 at Monroeville. If the Crimson Flashes win, they will face No. 6-seeded Ontario at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 in the title game back at Monroeville.
Should the three area teams advance to the Galion district on March 1, Norwalk would face the Lexington-Upper Sandusky winner, while Bellevue and Willard would face each other. The Lady Red beat the Flashes, 52-45, back in December.
In the Div. III Shelby district, Western Reserve (14-2) was voted the No. 2 seed behind Margaretta (16-4).
The Roughriders will face winless Huron at 8 p.m. on Feb. 20 at Willard in a sectional semifinal, and will face No. 11 Galion (2-17) in the 8 p.m. Feb. 24 sectional title game.
In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 4 seed Edison (10-9) faces No. 12 New London (3-15) at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Lexington High School. The winner will face the Crestview-Clear Fork winner at 3 p.m. Feb. 24 back at Lexington.
In Div. IV, St. Paul (12-6) was voted the No. 2 seed in the Willard district. The Lady Flyers have a first round bye and await the Lucas-St. Mary C.C. winner in the sectional title game at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Norwalk High School.
The second sectional championship game at Norwalk on Feb. 24 will feature No. 3-seeded South Central (10-8) vs. No. 4 Danbury (9-7).
In the bottom half of the district bracket, Monroeville (10-8) is the No. 5 seed and has a bye into the sectional title game at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 at Shelby High School.
The Eagles will get the Feb. 20 8 p.m. winner between Mansfield St. Peter’s and Plymouth.
