Women’s Fast Pitch coming to Avon
AVON — The Lake Erie Crushers independent minor league baseball franchise announced Wednesday they are partnering with the Cleveland Comets to bring professional Women’s Fast Pitch Softball to Sprenger Health Care Stadium.
The Comets, formerly known as the Akron Racers, will play six games at Sprenger Stadium in Avon, Aug. 3-8.
Game times will be 7:05 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The Aug. 5 game will be a 2:05 p.m. start time. Friday’s game will also feature post-game fireworks and all six games will include post-game autographs by all of the Comets players.
