PORT CLINTON — Animal lovers will once again be able to drive through African Safari Wildlife Park when the attraction reopens for its 51st season today.

"We're beyond thrilled to be opening for our 51st season,” General Manager Josh Adkins said. "We have some exciting changes and updates coming this year, and we love to continue to offer different experiences for our guests year after year."

Guests will have the opportunity to view and feed alpacas, llamas, guanacos, camels, fallow deer, sika deer, elk, bison, and zebra every day in the Drive-Thru Safari. Giraffe and African antelope species will return once the weather permits, expecting to be early May.

The Walk-Thru Safari, which features birds, gibbons, kangaroos, Aviary Adventure, camel rides, and educational animal shows, will reopen in mid-May.
