The 2018 Cleveland Auto Show, presented by Huntington Bank, opens its doors at the I-X Center in Cleveland at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 and runs through Sunday, March 4.
“The Classic Car Competition at the Cleveland Auto Show really allows you to compare the styling on classic vehicles to the brand new vehicles you see on the Show floor today,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the 2018 Cleveland Auto Show. “Every vehicle in the Competition is 25 years old or older, and each has a unique story.”
“We have an excellent selection of vehicles in the Competition this year,” says Karen Ford, manager of the 2018 Classic Car Competition. “The judging for top cash prizes this year should be very intense. You can tell that the owners of these vehicles take a great deal of pride in ownership.”
While participating vehicles in the Classic Car Competition will be on display every day the Cleveland Auto Show is open, prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3. The owner of the vehicle named as Best of Show will take home a cash prize of $500. There will also be five runners-up, each receiving a $100 award, along with a $100 People’s Choice Award winner. You can vote for the People’s Choice Award, the fan favorite, on the Cleveland Auto Show’s Facebook page at facebook.com/ClevelandAutoShow. All participants in the Classic Car Competition receive a commemorative dash plaque.
