• May 14, 2018 at 8:00 AM

Huron County Public Health (HCPH) is organizing a free agricultural tire collection event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 1 at the Huron County Fairgrounds parking lot.

During this event, HCPH will collect agricultural and industrial tires from community members to be recycled; no regular car or truck tires will be accepted. Only Huron County residents are permitted to participate in this event, and the limit is eight tires per resident.

Huron County residents wishing to participate in the collection must pre-register no later than May 28 by calling HCPH’s environmental division at 419-668-1652 Ext. 570.

This event is in addition to the agency’s Tire Take Back Day that is scheduled for Saturday, June 2 at the same location. Huron County participants with both agricultural and regular tires must attend both events to discard their tires. Only the designated tire type will be collected for each event.
