Cutoff date for farmer applications for CSP enrollment is March 2

• Feb 8, 2018 at 5:00 PM

Applications are now being accepted for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).

CSP is the largest working lands conservation program, allowing owners to keep their land in production.

CSP is focused on implementing conservation on the entire farm.

Contract payments start at $1,500.

There are more than 200 conservation enhancements available through CSP, including cover crops, buffer strips, wildlife habitat development and more.

Interested farmers and ranchers must submit applications by March 2 to be considered for this year’s sign-up. To apply, producers should stop by their local Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office and submit the initial application materials.

For additional information about CSP eligibility, enrollment and more, visit the Center for Rural Affairs website.
